So today we decided to stay in our PJ's (no judgments). And boy do we have a fun "colorful" day ahead of us...

Toddler -

Lesson: Numbers & Counting

Theme: COLOR PLAY

Language / Recognizing (listening & responding)

  • Number (Flash Cards)

  • Number puzzle

Gross Motor (coordination, big movements)

  • Pipe cleaner # making (asking, "what #")

Fine Motor (small movements typically w/hands)

  • Baking soda color pop (learning to press w/one hand while discussing the colors you see), our son LOVES to watch this video on repeat, asking for "More Bubbles"!

Music & Reading (to help give the mind a study break)

  • Bob the Train YouTube show (15min)

  • Color sorted bath time (have them show you different objects with cues like, "where's green")

Crafting Notes:

Baking Soda Color Pop = Line a baking sheet with baking soda, put a little white vinegar w/ a dab of water color paint or food coloring in a few cups (one color in each). Then find something to fill the colored vinegar with, and let them see the magic of squirting it on the sheet! SEE PICS/VIDEO

Theme: GERMS

(1st half of week focuses on our hands, 2nd half on our teeth)

Language Arts & Writing

Music & Reading (to help give the mind a study break)

  • Story from children's Highlights magazine

Crafting Notes:

I tend to prepare our crafts for the next day, the night prior. This way I don;t have to think about it too much.

Enjoying Our Time Together - These lessons were built around us being more involved in our child’s learning, enjoying the extra bit of time we have with each other, and remembering that each day does have meaning. This is all meant to be educational and LOTS of fun!

Each week we are All-Stuck-Home, we'll have Lesson Plans and Themes for that week.
